ABOUT US

OUR STORY

Formed in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, our goal was to create something good and positive despite the global crisis. We wanted to show the world that no one is alone in this, and that many of us humans share the same thoughts and feelings.

But how?

As a bunch of (mostly) Psychology students, we realised that we could use the skills we had developed at university: understanding, interpreting and conveying the theories and statistics found in academic research in the fields of Psychology and Behavioural Science. With this, we can bring scientific theories and data to everyone in a way that can be easily understood.

We want to tackle the interesting questions, especially ones you can relate to—’Why are people behaving this way?‘ or ‘Why am I feeling like this?

By answering these questions using research to back us up, we can share our knowledge with the world and show that behavioural science isn’t just for the professionals.

We are incredibly fortunate to have team members from so many different backgrounds who have all gone through different experiences, and this has all greatly shaped our work. This project has brought so many people together and we believe that through psymplified, we can continue to learn from each other and share with the world what it is that makes us humans so great.

MEET THE TEAM

We are a group of individuals from all over the world who want to learn more about human behaviour and why the world is the way it is. We met in a university student group chat, set up a Zoom call one day and ideas just started flowing! Some might call us “sophisticated” or “professional” but we’re really just a bunch of students who are bored during the lockdown.
